Heavy Duty Metric Flat Washers -
These heavy gauge metric flat washers have been designed and constructed for tough service. They are made from durable heavy pattern steel and are Bright Zinc Plated to optimise corrosion resistance and lifecycle.
Flat washers are thin plates (typically disk-shaped) which have a hole in the middle and are usually employed to distribute the load of a threaded fastener, such as a screw or nut. Washers ensure that the nut is pressed against a smooth surface, by increaseing the bearing area, which reduces the chance that it'll gradually loosen over time which can happen if it was in contact with an uneven surface.
